The Homebuyers Club is open to anyone (no income limits) who is interested in purchasing a home. The club supports the potential homebuyer during the entire process and continues after the home is purchased. It is our intent to be available to our Club members at all stages of the home buying process, and to be there once the purchase is complete.

We concentrate on goal setting, paying down debt, and savings. Understanding mortgage terms and visits from housing professionals are also a part of the Club's learning experience. All that is needed from the first-time homebuyer is enthusiasm, team spirit and a minimal down payment. The path to homeownership presents challenges to overcome; this is why the CDC sponsors a Homebuyers Club. The purpose of this Club is to provide the means to help families understand the process, establish and set savings goals in which to qualify for home ownership.

Through the Homebuyers Club, our members will get hands-on experience in budgeting and financial discipline, setting reasonable goals and gain strength through our support system provided by the Club's buddy system. While the focus of the Club is directed towards the low-to-moderate income individual or family, we welcome the opportunity to assist any person who has the interest and desire in learning the home buying process. Our Club's mission is to educate and qualify first-time homebuyers to help them purchase their first home.
